It happens only in INDIA !!!

 

 

Recently me, mommy dear and daddy dear took a trip to Saharanpur to visit our relatives over the weekend. On the way, somewhere near Meerut, we passed this place called Khatoli. It was our average Indian small town bustling with bazaars and roadside chaat thelas and more rickshaws and cycles on the road than bikes or cars.

As daddy dear was wrestling his car through the traffic, I was just looking out the window when I noticed this sign board saying ZAHEER SWEETS. Well, nothing wrong with a Mithaiwala advertising his mithai ki dukaan, but take a closer look at the picture and you'll realize there isn't really a mithai ki dukaan under the board at all !! Instead its a desi, open road side shauchalaya !! Add to that a few chhole bhature vendors putting up right outside "ZAHEER SWEETS". Now imagine eating a plate of tasty chhole bhature with the aroma of piss lingering around your nose to make the taste of the chhole even..urgghhhh..!!!

I felt like laughing and puking at the same time. I was a few seconds late in clicking the picture and ZAHEER SWEETS got a little left behind. But then, I said to myself, this is the real charm of India. And I suppose this is how roadside chhole bhature is to be savored after all...
